I didn't come from money. I didn't have mentors handing me a playbook. I'm the oldest of six, and from the moment I could work, every dollar I made went toward keeping the people around me afloat. There was no trust fund. No investor. No co-signer. Just me, a job, and the realization that the financial system was built for people who already understood it.

When I got into banking, something clicked. I was sitting across the desk watching people walk in - regular people, hardworking people - and getting denied. Not because they were irresponsible. Because nobody ever showed them what the bank was actually looking at. Nobody explained utilization. Nobody told them that timing an application wrong costs thousands. Nobody said "your profile looks like this to us."
